Alexandra Ruiz Costas knows from personal experience that survivors and family members of victims of femicide are often blamed and re-victimized right after the horrific event, and even five years later, as is the case for her. Sadly, certain people and media have continued to cause harm and disrespect to her and to the memory of her beloved sister Andrea Ruiz Costas (1985–2021). True to Alexandra's loving spirit, she shows us a kinder and more compassionate path forward.
