Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra

Artistic Director, Healing Arts Innovator, Composer & Performer

Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra

GRAMMY-nominated international performer and improviser, award-winning composer, cross-disciplinary researcher, visionary author, and transformative educator, Dr. Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra brings her trauma-sensitive approach to every facet of Healing Bells.

A deep, open-hearted listener and empath, Pamela co-creates content grounded in the healing arts, supports interdisciplinary teams, and develops innovative practices that resonate deeply with trauma survivors. Her course, Compose for Change: Healing Arts, launched at the University of Michigan, was evaluated by students as “the most important class I've ever taken.”

“As a Healing Bells composer, I consider it a great honor to serve as a vessel–to listen and provide new artistic platforms for stories that have been ignored or silenced. To witness the courage of people as they recall their most vulnerable moments is to exist in sacred space. That space of ultimate vulnerability is where healing can begin. And those who dare share that sacred space in performances, classes, community connections, and film extend a hand to any witness who likewise seeks a healing pathway."
